Good but.....

I liked the article, definitely gives me some things to think about as an IT provider to doctors. But the comment about reducing costs for the providers is wrong I think. To provide the infrastructure to do econsults will cost, maintaining it will cost. Plus if you don't charge as much for an econsult as for a patient visit, then you're actually losing money. Plus your liability goes up as the increased chances of a HIPPA violation go up. My two cents anyway.
