I am looking for the article “200 ways to save a hard drive” that several people have said is on this site, yet I can’t locate it. When my father tries to start his computer, he gets a message “drive not found.” We need to see if we can fix this (my brother took HDD out and tried to run it on his computer, didn’t work). We also need to see if there’s some way to get data out of it before returning it to Gateway for replacement. (My Mom is concerned about financial info they had on it gettinginto wrong hands.) Any help would be appreciated.
