Hard Drive size

by johann2_2 . Updated 22 years, 9 months ago

I have always know that HDD size is not accurate according to the old standards of 1024Kb per Mb.
Now I understand that there is a lawsuit against various compnay who claim that their Hard drives are a certain size and yet when you install them in your Computer there is and always has been a reduction in size in comparison to what you expected. This has been a common practice in the industry to make consumers believe they were getting what they thought they were. I have know about this flaw for over twelve years and I am sure that most of you out there also know of it!
My question’s are these! Why didn’t we do something about it years ago? Did enough people know? Did we just let it slide and wait for price reductions or did we buy immediatley?
