Hello All!
Could someone please explaine what the hardware acceleration settings in Windows do exactly? I only ask because more often than not, Windows suggests you change these to a lower setting or sometimes even none. I have a high end system (spec to follow) so I would like to know what the implications of changing these settings are. For example, if I have a problem with a display driver loading and I change the acceleration to none, will I notice any changes? If someone could give me adetailed explanation of hardware acceleration and/or point me to a relevant web page, 1000 points are yours. I thank you in advance. Here is the spec of my machine: custom built PC with SOYO KT133 motherboard, AMD 1.3Ghz processor, VIA KT133 chipset, 256MB DDR RAM, Geforce 4 Ti4600 graphics card, SB Augigy sound & 40GB Seagate Barracuda hard drive.
Many thanks,
Ben
