Hardware Recommendation for .Net Development

By businessgeeks ·
hope you experts can help me out. The company where i work in is planning to invest in Visual Studio 2010 and do .NET development. What is the recommended hardware/software configuration for Workstations and servers? the type that wont push capex of the roof.

It's not that bad in terms of development

More down to your OS and anti-virus than VS 2010.

Not sure what you mean by server. If it's deploying, then that depends on the workload nothing to do with VS. If you are going for TFS to do source control, get something hefty for that.

I devlop quite happily on a twe core with 3 gig of ram and Vista 32 at work.

And even more happily on my Quad Xeon at home.
