how will you compare the processing capabilities of two dissimilar computer's?what are the factor's that affect the performance of a computer system?

Comparing the Bus Structure,CPU,Memory Type,Hard disk size and Appplications will be factors in the comparision of two computers.
Performance will be based on the particular users basic needs and the operating system and what that system is set up for,processing of applications and the speed to which a user thinks he wants or needs is based on that individuals type of work.Simple data base processing will out perform a graphics processing job.
What type of applications and the number of applications on a particular machine should also be taken in account.

Run a BenchMark, such as SiSandra and compare the results. It will identify the strong and weak areas of each machine.
