    Having trouble with motherboard/CPU

    by sawyermchaney ·

Ok so I’m building a pc and I’m having issues with my motherboard/ cpu. It gets power to the motherboard whenever the cpu isn’t installed but the second I push the latch down to secure the cpu in place it loses all power and can’t be jumped or anything. The only way I can get it to regain power is by taking the cpu out and unplugging the 24pin power cable and replugging it in. After I do those steps boom… power again. I’ve tried just about everything I can imagine as far as clearing cmos, flashing the bios, etc. all of the parts are brand new so it’s really getting under my skin why this randomly is happening. I’m running a B450 tomahawk motherboard with a ryzen 5 3600 cpu.
Any help at all is greatly appreciated and thank you guys in advance.

I suggest you to change your SMPS Or power supply and it will surely work because may be power supply is not supporting your motherboard.so once changed it and then try again

Common symptoms of motherboard issues are similar to CPU problems: The system does not display anything; an error code appears; one or more beeps occur; the system locks; the system reboots; a Windows BSOD (blue screen of death) appears; or one or more of the ports, expansion slots, or memory modules fails.
