I have 3 WinXP Home PCs all with D-link wireless nics and all are displaying the green working light. The also have a D-link wireless router (DI-624+). In 2 weeks I will have installed a cable modem for the internet which will plug into the router and hopefully all 3 pcs will work wirelessly from the router.
1. In this case is it true that all 3 PCs with w-nics do not need to be “wired” to the router?
2. Once this is setup I want to be able to share files, printers and scanners in the same setup. Will this be possible, and if not, what other hardware will I need?
3. In the meantime can someone point me to CLEAR instructions step by step on how to set all 3 pcs up (not using the router) to connect ad hoc wirelessly together to share dialup internet, printers and files?
