Help! I know enough to be dangerous, so please bare with me…
I have a P4 1.5 and I am trying to ungrade to a 2.4 w/800Mhz FSB. Computer works fine, but when I install new MB/CPU it won’t boot up; it just beeps (Alarm) about every 5 seconds. I reinstall the old CPU/MB and it works fine. I’ve tried clearing the CMOS, changing the memory, changing the power supply (needed to anyhow, as the old was only 300W). I have check the jumpers and they are set correctly. Ideas?
