I’m currently looking for a NIC card that supports IEEE 802.1Q and VLAN tagging. The card if possible to also come with software that helps manage the multiple networks being put on the network card. Also no PCI Express. Seems that is mainly what I’m finding. I’m also finding a lot that support 802.1Q but not the VLAN tagging.
Surprisingly I’m having trouble finding a card that matches this. So far I have only found 2 both from Transition Networks but have never used any of their hardware so I’m a little weary on these cards. Saw a few intel nic’s but all were PCI Express.
Any recommendations?
