I was tasked with finding the best solution for migrating an exchange 2003 server from one server to another with a different name.
Ex. Currently the exchange server is named ABC in domain 123 and we want to move it to Server XYZ in domain 789. One of our concerns is getting the clients that are local and remote to point to the new server without us having to manually change the outlook settings, killing the profile and reinstalling it, and having to download the mail all over again.
Has anyone gone through this already? Can anyone point me to some articles that they’ve used and/or feel could be useful.
