Help my printer sharing problem

By mhtoon ·
I have 2 desktops and 2 laptops share to one printer with home syslink G routers wireless. I can share to 2 desktops and 1 (sony)laptop. But on my Dell laptop, it could not found my base desktop computer name and at (printer) BROWSE area it shows "Microsoft network". My network (internet) is working fine. Pls advice how to find my home (base computer name inthe laptop to share printer? I'm not an expert in IT and layman terms or easy guide to solve this problem would be highly appreciated.

Could be a workgroup issue

Verify that both your base computer and the laptop are in the same workgroup.

For Windows XP & 2000, right-click My Computer and select Properties. Click on the Network Identification tab. You will see the computer name and workgroup. If you need to change the workgroup on the laptop to match that on the base computer, click on the Change or Properties button at the bottom of the tab.
