Hi All,
I am having a problem with several laptops on our network (about 6-7) all run Vista and are by either Dell or Toshiba. The problem I need help with is that they are rejecting any DHCP address given to the by our 2003SP2 Servers causing the DHCP scopes to fill with bad addresses. This problem is similar to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928233 but this has not halped to stop it and only applied to non microsoft DHCP servers. Thees machines even report an IP conflict if you set a static address. It appears that the gratuitous ARP used to check if there is another machine using the address assigned by DHCP is being processed by the sending machine and it is then conflicting with itself.
Any ideas welcome I have been tearing my hear out for two days over this.
