I’m working on a Sony Vaio whose HD crashed. (120g). According to Sony’s support I should be able to use their system recovery disk on whatever HD I replace it with. Not! I receive errors:
cannot load \i386\system32\biosinfo.inf as one of the errors. If I use the boot diskettes for XP, I recieve
cannot load \i386\system32\c_1252.nls
Should I install a full version of XP first, or does it sound like the bios is corrupted?
