    Help With Better Internet Connection

    by jim.labruno ·

Alright so we just moved to a new house and the internet modem/router from xfinity is setup across the hall. It is impossible to run an ethernet cord to my computer without it looking terrible running across the floor. But the wifi on my tower does not work so it has always been direct connect. So before I go out and by a usb wifi adapter I wanted to see if this can work.

I have a tp-link router. Its an AC1750 Wirelss Dual Band Gigabit Router. Is it possible to link this router to my cable companies router WITHOUT plugging them into each other that way I can put the tp router by my desktop and plug my desktop directly into that?

If the answer is yes how do i pass the signal from xfinity router/internet box to the tp link router without an ethernet cord?
