High Availability Software

By nilay.choksi ·
We are looking for a high availability solution.

We are having a small server farm setup consists of application server, database server, backup server, web server, intranet server etc.

We would like to have a software which resides on a independent server (mirrored server to say) , & which takes data snaps of all other servers at a particular interval of time.

We will keep a independent server machine for this mirroring software.

Now, for e.g. if database server goes down then that mirrored server will act as a database server since it has snaps of original database server in itself. As soon as the original database server will up & running then the mirrored server will remain idle and again it takes data snaps of servers.

Meanwhile for any other reason, if original database server will take more time to up & running, then at that time besides acting as a temporary database server, that mirrored server will also take snaps of other servers.

This is what we would like to have as a solution for our data security and data replication.
