You can use AdAware, aavailable free at http://www.lavasoftusa.com.
Download it, install it, and start it. Then, before scanning your computer, click the Check for updates now link near the bottom right corner of the window. Let the program load any updated files it locates.
Click the Start button; then click the Next button to start scanning your computer. Note: The scanning may take several minutes. You’ll know it’s finished when a little red flashing bug appears next to the Start button. When scanning is complete, click the Next button. A list of found objects will display. Double-click on any object to read about it. You’ll see things like tracking cookies and Hotbar should be listed there as well.
Click the Next button. You’llbe notified that X number of objects will be deleted. Click OK and the bad files will be deleted.
You can close the program now.
You may want to run Ad-Aware every now and then after you’ve done significant web browsing and downloading. It’sa great program to help keep your computer free of unwanted software.

Hotbar is a real bitch to remove. It install all by itself and is hard to trak. If you are lucky it will have appreared in the Add/Remove window but if u try to get rid of it that way – it tends to come back. Good thing to do is to either (a)un-install and re-install IE or (b) upgrade to the latest version of IE. THat worked for me. Have a go.

Ad-aware alone does not completely remove hotbar. WHat you need to do is:
1) Control Panel –> Add/Remove Programs and uninstall it for there. But sure to uninstall it from both Outlook and IE.
2) Then use Ad-Aware and delete everything itfinds.
3) Then reboot your computer. If you do not reboot, but continue to use your computer, the registry in memory seems to put it back in Window’s registry and the problem reappears.-

Hey,
Using Add/Remove to remove Hotbar can disable Outlook and cause other problems.
