I’ve been using a mixture of tools to administer my workstations, which up until recently have been Windows XP. One of my screen-sharing tools (YuuGuu) can’t see the UAC prompts. PSExec can’t get an administrative prompt, and Remote Assistance doesn’t work from Server 2003 to Win7. I tried Remote Assistance from my single Server 2008 box, but in order for the remote user to let me see the UAC prompts – he has to have administrative credentials!
What tools are you guys using to administer your field-deployed Win7 clients?
