I have a Pentium III in a Digital Desktop PC running Windows 98. I recently had an unwanted icon called Celebrity installed on my PC and no matter how I try, I can NOT remove it. When I have tried deleting it from the desktop using the FIND option, it reappears when I re-boot my machine. I was told that I probably need to edit the Registry andeven though I am told this is dangerous, I tried but was unable to find any item labeled Celebrity. Any suggestions?
I am anxious to remove this because it displays an ominous message saying I may incur long-distance and/or international phone charges if the Celebrity software is activated.
Thanks for any ideas!
