You stated Network Line. But what kind are you working with.? i.e. Cat5 etc;
Have an experience tech make the cable connections. Or buy pre made cables.

While the question is fairly unclear, there are several ways to check problems with network connectivity. First, make sure your computer I.P. address is correct in network neighborhood. If it is okay, check the cat 5 cable by taking it to a networked machine that is running properly and swap the cables. If connectivity is interupted on the functioning machine, it is a bad cable. If the cable is fine, check the NIC card's IRQ settings. Most Nic cards come with a config disk of some sort. If it isn't the card thats bad, check the data port you are trying to plug into, by using a computer that you know works elsewhere. If this isn't the problem check the port on your server hub to make sure it is working correctly, again by using a connection you are sure is good.
