How do a get my Acer Aspire x1301 to find a wireless network

By luvmytwins ·
I bought a newAcer Aspire x1301 desktop machine running Windows 7 and I purchased a netgear wireless adapter. I have installed the software but I cannot see any of the wireless networks. I have looked all over the machine to see if there was a setting I was missing and can't find anything. Any ideas?

Yes I did this, it is not finding any networks at all. Only when I plug directly into the router. My laptop gets on just fine - I am not sure what esle to do!

Have you done this?

Have you tested the adapter on another machine? It's possible the adapter is faulty.

Also, was the adapter and its associated software rated for Win7?
