what is running your dhcp. linux? windows? some linksys router?

on a workstation that's supposed to get an address, run an ipconfig /all in command prompt (if running windows) and see what shows up as dhcp. or, run an ipconfig /release and then ipconfig /renew. if you get an address, you're dhcp is okay.
