I want to run SQL Management Studio Express and remote into my dedicated server hosted with godaddy.com. I have a CISCO PIX 501 firewall running in front of my server that keeps blocking me from remotely accessing my MS SQL. I know that I must allow access on UDP access on port 1434 and TPC access on port 1433. Anything else?
I have tried to make the changes to configure my router firewall in the PIX Device Manager, but I keep getting errors when trying to save my configuration. Any suggestion on how to go about configuring my firewall to allow for remote access by SQL management studio will surely be appreciated.
