How do I get Explorer to open to My Computer?

By Revemup55 ·
I'm hoping there is a way I can have Explorer open with the tree view with My Computer expanded. My OS is XP SP3. Thanks so much for your help!

And by what method do you plan to open Explorer this way?

I'll give you one answer, if that isn't what you want, post back.

If you want to Explore by double-clicking My Computer:

Open Explorer → Tools menu → Folder Options → File types → select Folder → click Advanced → select explore → click Set default → click OK on all dialog boxes until all are closed.
