"unninstalled microsoft office outlook"

How can Outlook do anything if it isn't installed? Or do you mean something else?

"the connection to the microsoft exchange server is unavalable."

Are you in a corporate network?

If you are simply trying to get mail from Yahoo with a simple internet connection, you need to set up your mail account for Yahoo in Outlook. (POP3 & SMTP server settings from your provider, create an account with these in Outlook)

To have Outlook 'grab' the emails from Yahoo, having let Yahoo know that Outlook is coming to get the emails.

But if you haven't installed Outlook yet, nothing is likely to happen.

Yahoo will have a 'Settings Page' that tells you which settings within Outlook have to be enabled, and what values to place in those settings.

I, personally, have NEVER 'sent' emails from an online email account to an email client. Always it has been done the other way round by 'getting' the online emails from the email client end.
