How do I install .crx files without ticking the developer mode box?

    by Silverhoft ·

I was trying to install a custom extension using a .crx file, when I realized that I had to tick the developer box. Is there any way to install my extension without ticking the developer box? I really hope someone can answer this, I can’t find the answer anywhere.

To install the add-on from the .crx file, follow the steps below:

      1. Go to the Extension page in one of three ways:
      2. On Chrome browser> Menu> More Tools> Extensions
      Menu> Settings> select Extension .
      3. In the address bar enter: chrome: // extensions /
      4. Open the folder containing the downloaded extension, drag the file straight into this page.
      5. A message will appear, asking if you agree to add this add-on to Chrome> select Add extension . Wait a moment for Chrome to finish the job.
