how do idelete offline domain controller from active directory?

hello,

We have disengaged from a company that we did a merger with and some of their domain controllers still remain in active directory. I am performing a cleanup and tried to delete the servers to no avail.

I am being prompted with a message to demote the servers first but they are offline.

any advice would be appreciated.
