How do you save styles for use in ALL word documents?

By trqwrench ·
Between books, books, and more books, web pages, discussion groups etc., etc., etc., I am going out of my skull trying to find an answer to one simple question. How do I save a style, so that it is available in ALL of my Word documents? I have created a style that I want to be available in all of my docs, however my style is only available in the template that I created it in. If I open a new or existing document my style is not available.

What version of Word?

For 2007 - Edit your style (Shift + Alt + Ctrl + S will list your styles to choose from) - at the bottom you will see radio buttons for:
1. Only in this document
2. New documents based on this template

Choose 2, then OK. You need to ensure you are either working from the correct template (Normal.dot or your customised template if applicable). If you don't know what I mean just edit it when you open Word, the change will be made appropriately.

Can't recall step by step for previous versions - 2003 will be the Style and Formatting dialogue I believe.
