How do you save styles for use in ALL word documents?

By trqwrench ·
Between books, books, and more books, web pages, discussion groups etc., etc., etc., I am going out of my skull trying to find an answer to one simple question. How do I save a style, so that it is available in ALL of my Word documents? I have created a style that I want to be available in all of my docs, however my style is only available in the template that I created it in. If I open a new or existing document my style is not available.

What version of Word?

For 2007 - Edit your style (Shift + Alt + Ctrl + S will list your styles to choose from) - at the bottom you will see radio buttons for:
1. Only in this document
2. New documents based on this template

Choose 2, then OK. You need to ensure you are either working from the correct template ( or your customised template if applicable). If you don't know what I mean just edit it when you open Word, the change will be made appropriately.

Can't recall step by step for previous versions - 2003 will be the Style and Formatting dialogue I believe.
