How to change icons in "save as" pop up

By elfer ·
I would appreciate if you would tell me how to change the icons on the left-hand side of the "save as" pop-up window. In other words, I would like to change the standard icons which appear there (desktop, my computer, my documents) with icons or names of folders which I most frequently use to save items.

If you are using MS Office, go to "save As"
in the save as window, find the location
drop down the "tools" menu and select "add to "My Places""

change the save dialog box in windows 7

by sharrahl In reply to How to change icons in "s ...

Thanks for all of your tips but I still am unable to find where I can change or customize the save dialogue box in w7 ultimate. When I click on a file to save, I receive a bar at the bottom of my screen that has 'open, save (with a down arrow), and cancel. How do I change thatr to the typical view with folders or links on the left hand side of the window?

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
