That’s easy.

If you do your work (say, sales or bookkeeping or HR or logistics) then let the IT department do their work (which includes maintaining the PC’s of the employees).
No need for you do what they should do, just like you don’t expect that they do your work. That’s the way any good company is structured.

What you are asking here is quite vague, you might want to narrow down your query. Also, if its your office laptop I dont think you’ll be able to tweak things freely as it would require admin rights access.

You can check the hardware and drivers installed on your pc via Device manager. If any driver is installed incorrectly – it will be seen there.

You can check your PC depth , click on the Windows Start button, then click on Settings (the gear icon). In the Settings menu, click on System. Scroll down and click on About. On this screen, you should see specs for your processor, Memory (RAM), and other system info, including Windows version.
