What are the best practices to encrypt all data accessing internet from my network for privacy and confidentiality to avoid sniffing and Geo-locating?

I’m solely using a vpn (psiphon) but that’s on each computer individually

Sending encrypted data across the internet requires the receiver to unencrypt it. So you would need the cooperation of all sites you visit. Using https makes sniffing of the data impossible, because that’s a standard protocol supported by practically all sites.

To avoid using VPN on each computer, use a router that supports it. https://www.zdnet.com/article/best-vpn-router/ tells about them.

To ensure the security of all data accessing the internet, you should set up a VPN on your router to encrypt traffic across all devices. Make sure that all communications are encrypted using HTTPS to prevent data interception. It’s important to regularly update your VPN and software to address any vulnerabilities. Additionally, consider using DNS over HTTPS (DoH) to add an extra layer of protection to your browsing activities.

      What is you objective? Privacy?

Otherwise, most if not all connections to websites or services already use encryption with tls for all communication.

The easiest way between two computers on a LAN is IPsec. It’s built into most modern operating systems. You can set it up with a preshared key so you don’t have to deal with SSL certificates.

If you are talking about between an internal computer and the Internet then VPN is the only way to go.

To ensure encryption of all traffic from your network, implement a VPN at the router level. As a further measure to protect your privacy, it is recommended that you use secure protocols such as HTTPS and DNS over HTTPS. Maintain a strong level of protection by regularly updating and monitoring your VPN service and network security settings.

To encrypt all internet traffic from your network, use a VPN on your router or configure VPN settings on devices. Alternatively, set up HTTPS-only mode in browsers and enable DNS encryption like DNS-over-HTTPS.
