how to get a OEM Easy-CD Creater driver

Hi, I bought a CDRW from a online retailer one year ago. It came with OEM Easy-CD Creater for win98. now i am using w2k, can i ask for free upgrade from Adaptec?

First I would try and see if it works on W2K, some drivers work on both platforms. If it doesn't and you can't get an updated driver, try here: http://www.expnet.com/know.nsf/Files+Library?OpenView&Start=1&Count=30&Expand=2#2

You can ask, but my understanding is that Adaptec is referring these inquiries to the OEM that supplied the original software.

In the case of HP CD-Writers, the W2K driver is available for free download but the W2K application software package (including CD-Creator) has to be purchased for $24.95 and only through a special telephone number that is not even toll-free. I would assume that other OEMs probably have similar deals.

It's kind of frustrating, but the cost is still only about 1/4of the retail price of Adaptec's package.
