Our agency has five of the above hardware. Since configuring them to be use as a backup location an issues has developed.
Our network is Novel and all computers are Windows XP. There is a Windows 2003, and 2000 server machines on the network. The windows 2003 server is used to house the Symantec Endpoint protection manager, Isonas electronic locks application. Each time I have to shut down this server for updates, repairs, etc one of the NAS becomes a master browser which means there is no browsing. I have to use browstat to cause an election of another master browser which becomes the 2003 server. Is there anyway to keep the NAS from participating as a browser.
Any suggestions.
