I installed an HP CD-Writer Plus 8200 series USB drive. After installation I noticed I lost my sound from my speakers. I checked the sound card device and sound volumes from the control panel of WIN 98 se – and all is OK. I turn the speakers on and off and I hear some static. Win 98 states the sound card is working properly and their are no IRQ conflicts. Please help me get my sound back.
