Don't think its gonna happen

I don't think its something easily done for your model. I may be wrong but HP is a bit wishy washy on its site. Some printers can and some can't, my guess is the more robust "true" network printers 4350, 8000 series would have the option.

You can copy this scrip code to see if it helps you..

IT will change the port from **00 to **01.
So give it a go.

If you put it on a network then you can use the ip address..

I don't understand you

:) or I don't understand you or you donot understand what i am trying to say

I bought D-link router and then appears that it does not support support NAT - port forwarding as I imagine

according that router I can give only one port in my LAN to any device despite different IP address of devices in my LAN

label printer: LAN **00 WAN **00
laserjet printer P3005dn or 2420 (not matter because in any of these i can not find where to change port number) LAN **00 WAN 9001 (WAN can be any number)

i need give printer LAN **01 port number NOT **00

SO as i mentioned before I tried search printers port number field (or something like that) in explorer window but I did not find.
I have printer HP laserjet P3005dn , 2420 , but in any of these has field where i can change port number

any ideas?

Have you tried to change in the settings of the printer.

When you go and add a printer it will give you a choice to add a port, but it will take some doing. Basically you will need to change the port of the printer in the "ports" section.

Solved

by vencrena In reply to Have you tried to change ...

Thanks for your help.

I solved that problem
as I figured HP always lisens on **00 port
bet also they have Dynamic Raw Port Setting option whitch allows you to choose port number between 3000 and 9000

one more thing that I done: I have changed mDNS Highest Priority Service to LPD (RAW)

No problem. :)
