HP ML150 RAM Issue

By I_M_Dougie ·
I have installed 8GB RAM into a HP ML 150 G2 server.

This is 4 - Simple 2GB PC2700 chips.

When I look at my server properties, it only sees 4GB RAM available.

If I go to http://crucial.com and use the scan tool, it sees all four slots with the 2GB chips.

Has anyone else run into this type of issue with these servers?

Thank you.

OS version?

by JamesRL In reply to HP ML150 RAM Issue

Could it be the standard version of MS server 2003? It can only address 4GB of memory - if you need more you can upgrade to the enterprise version.

The the Minimum/Recommended Hardware Requirements you'll plainly see that 2003 SBS will only support 4 GIG of RAM.
