HP StorageWorks Data Protector Express Single Server Edition v/s Backup Exe

by mehuls . Updated 19 years, 6 months ago

Hi,

We are a small charity. We have just bought a HP Tape Drive and it comes with HP StorageWorks Data Protector Express Single Server Edition – one of my technical consultants suggested that we buy BackExec as we are also using MS Exchange, MS SQL Server plus the normal windows environment.

I have considered his suggestions and they include Backup Exec Advanced File Open Option and Intelligent Diaster Recovery Option. Together it would cost us around $3000.

Is it worth it or should I use HP StorageWorks Data Protector Express Single Server Edition?

Thanks
