You are most probably "working off line"....

by Peconet Tietokoneet In reply to I can access the lan but ...

In either IE7 or Firefox there is a work around to get on-line.

Firefox:
Open up Firefox and click on "file" and scroll down until you see "Work Offline", this might be ticked, so UN-tick it, now close firefox down and then re-start.

IE7:
Open up IE7 and go to "tools" (right hand side of the screen), scroll down until you see "Work Offline", this might be ticked, so UN-tick it, close down and then re-start IE7 again.
Hope this works for you.

Windows Vista and Windows 7

You receive an error message in Internet Explorer: "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"

Press the Winkey + r type inetcpl.cpl and then press ENTER. (The WinKey is also known as the "Windows key", "Windows logo key" or "Start key" on your keyboard)

Click on the Connections Tab. Click Lan settings and untick the box to the left of Automatically detect settings. Click OK and close out of Internet Explorer and try connecting again.
