my hewlett packard computer has a software build of 12NARCKT04, i purchased it about 5-6 months ago. I cannot get it to do a complete defragmenting of the c drive. It will go to 10% then i get a message that windows cannot defrag this drive because it cannot access part of c drive. I have windows me on it. It tells me to scan disk thorough/ auto fix errors. When i do this, it will scan only 1,221,725 clusters out of 1,245,371 then stops. so i have never been able to get it to defrag. h/p hasnt been of any help. I have even had protonic tryin to figure it out. Do I have a defective computer hard drive? I am at my wits end. Please if you know why i cannot scan disk or defrag my computer, i would appreciate an answer. Thank you for your time. Verla
