Installed a Vanta 16 MB PCI card in an IBM 2137 E56 PC w/ATI onboard video (no jumper disable feature). Win 95 OSR2 will load w/16 colors but not 256 or more (screen will go black just before the desktop loads) Tweaked everything but overlooking something (don’t know what). Yes, I downloaded drivers, reinstalled W95 (however, thinking oemusb application causing the problem) Advice? Think upg. to W98+ is the answer? Manual IRQ assign in BIOS? (Updated BIOS, too) Card works, there’s probably a DMA conflict with the onboard video (hey, I’m talking to myself!) Thanks.
