I have the same problem with a Lenovo, 1962 No Operating System Found.
According to the BIOS there is a hard drive and a CD recognized.
I have the CD as first booting device.
The hard drive has a windows7 operative system on it from another computer (CDM).

chilotean...you should post this as a new question, most folks would pass by a post that's over 4 years old and not even see your question. Lots of folks look for questions like this as well. But maybe start here for more informations http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/detail.page?LegacyDocID=MIGR-45769 you may have to do a reinstall assuming that the win7 you have is not longer on said other computer.

The No OS found is a problem, obviously...

by robo_dev In reply to IBM NetVista System Erro ...

the check cable error happens when the PC is not powered on, so that error is not a problem.

The OS error means that either your hard drive has failed, or there is a software issue.

What OS do you use (Windows XP?)

The first step is to determine if the PC can recognize that the hard drive exists, by entering the 'bios setup' and seeing if a hard drive is listed in there.

On most IBMs you press F1 when you power on the PC, and that should get you to the bios setup area.

I have a 2009 Lenovo computer and I get: "1962 no operating system found".
According to the BIOS there is a hard drive and a CD recognized.
I have the CD as first booting device.
The hard drive has a windows7 operative system on it from another computer (CDM).
Anyone knows what is the problem?
Many thanks

Reponse To Answer

You will need a Windows 7 Installation disk, you can't just take an
installed system on a hard drive from one computer and place it
in another. You will also probably have to contact Microsoft in
case of licensing issues, since normally the license is tied to the
computer the operating system was originally installed on.
