IBM thinkpad – Cannot disable Start up items via administrator!

by richard_lakin . Updated 18 years, 11 months ago

I have an IBM thinkpad Z60m running Win XP Home edition. Having logged on via Safe Mode to the Administrator account, I was hoping to disable various unwanted Start up items such as Google Desktop, iTunes etc… But, even though I’m logged on as Administrator, I still get an error message saying that I don’t have access rights to change any of the start up items.

A bit frustrating.

Can anyone help?
Thanks
