ICS using a TI

by anand020 . Updated 24 years, 2 months ago

Hi All
I am trying to set up a ICS using a T1 line so . this is what I did I PLUGGED the T1 line into the back of the router(Siemens 4port) WAN port and used a Cross Over cable(Should I use regular CAT-5 as the Hub didn’t have a uplink port ) to connect the Router to the HUB( And cat5 FROM hub to the PC’S), I have 4 W2K clients and One Server. But ICS is not working, I checked all the connections TCP/IP settings. I already have the IP,DNS,Gateway infor from my ISP so should I use those numbers to configure the router and whataddtional steps I should take on the clients Or is it possible to convert a W2K server into a router add a second NIC , Do I need a special NIC so that it can be used with a T1 as they have a different signal or no.As if I cann’t get this ICS to work with Router my boss wants me to make Server a Router which I have no idea how to set it up.
Thanks
