Here’s a weird one for ya –
When I attempt to download updates from Microsoft Update, IE 6.0 wont dowload the updates. After selecting the desired updates, the “Agreement” window pops up, then after clicking “OK”, the Download Progress window pops up – and just sits there – it will not progress at all. I have confirmed that the connection to MS update is good by trying it on another computer on the same network. I have also tried “repairing” IE6 by using “Add / Remove” in the control panel – but it was no help. I even rolled back the installation to IE5.5, and then re-installed 6.0 – but it still will not work. Java is installed and apears to be functioning normally. All other aspects of internet browsing apear normal. Any ideas? This ones got me stumped.
