IE Tries To Access CDROM

By JROCK1977 ·
I have a computer that after you insert a CD in the CDROM and remove it when you try and open Internet Explorer it gives and error message that says "HBReporter:iexplore.exe - There is no disk in the D Drive". After you click cancel 2 times Internet Explorer opens. If there is a disk in the drive it opens the disk, and this only happens after you insert a cd, if you reboot IE will open fine if no CD has been inserted. Any ideas?

I would repair IE. If that continues to happen reinstall IE.

Just a Thought: Check your machine for spyware.

Ad-Aware--www.lavasoftusa.com
Spybot Search and Destroy--www.???
Hijackthis--cnet.com then search for the name.

Run ad aware or Spybot and if that does not do it then try hijackthis. Be carefule with hijackthis it is a very powerful tool that can damage your system if improperly used.
