immetant failure

I have a HDD that used to work but sadenly it give an error message that immetant failure than press F1 to boot.

Usually, messages like this come from the S.M.A.R.T. features included on most hard drives. Generally, this is true information and I would recommend backing up the HDD as quickly as possible. If your drive is still 100% operational, this is your chance to get the data off of it before it stops functioning. Hopefully it isn't too late.

Back up the data ASAP and look into replacing the hard drive as soon as possible.

You didn't bother to tell us anything about your computer, but I'm going to guess it's a COMPAQ. If it's still under warranty, call COMPAQ. They will replace it for free. (You may have to install the replacement.)

This is a Smart Failure predicted message... the Smart software is embedded in the hard drive... you can download a utility from the manufacturers website to test the hard drive, if it is truly bad then the manufacturer usually has a 3 year warrantyon the hard drive itself... have them replace... if the test passes then there is a separate utility that will remove the smart software from the computer
