Implementing Data Warehouse on MS SQL Server 2005

By illusion ·
Hi
I am looking to implement data warehouse on Microsoft SQL Server 2005 platform (Data Engine, Integration Services, Analysis Services & Reporting Services) with an estimated data size of 100GB.

What server hardware specification to you recommend for such project considering that the orgaization is small in size with about 100 end users.

Thank you.

It depends...

The answer is...it depends. It depends on what data you are planning on using in your DW, the different types of cubes you plan to implement, how many users will hit it, and so forth. Its really hard to guesstimate on a DW machine size not knowing anything other than "you want a DW". Im guessing something with 2 or more processors, and a lot of RAM. Does that help any?
