Implementing Location tracking

By domchua ·
im thinking of implementing an indoor wireless location tracking for my final year project. i intend to use LWAPs for triangulation and WCS and WLC for the implementation. Is this a possible solution? and is there anything that i should take note of?

Considerations

Some things you may want to consider:
* The topology of the area (single large space, multiple smaller spaces, etc.) will affect the number and location of the WAPs.
* The construction of the area may affect triangulation calculations if your interior walls are highly RF-reflective (e.g. older wood or stone facility with wire-backed plaster walls) or highly RF-absorbant (e.g. newer slab facility with grounded metal studs behind sheet rock or wallboard).

Although why you would want to use weapons control systems and work-load control in the same implementation is beyond me...

i planing to implement it for my school's final year project. and we are doing some loaction tracking in a home. the project will do something like, switch on the room lights when the server "sees" that you are in the room, switches off the lights when you leave the house. =)
