Install Windows onto Networked Machines

By Xander_25 ·
We have about 100+ new machines that we purchased for use in our organization. Normally, we configure each machine separately, but I've been assigned the task of finding a suitable solution to possibly image one configured machine and then deploy it via the server over the network to install on all the machines. So far, the only feasible one I've seen is Remote Installation Service (RIS) a configurable feature found in Server 2003. It looks really drawn out and I'm a bit hard headed, so could someone break it down for me, or provide an easier solution?? Thanks!!

Google "Deployment Toolkit 2010"

It includes 'Windows Automated Installation Kit' (WAIK) the Microsoft product that replaced RIS. It's compatible with Server 2003 and the XP, Vista, and 7 operating systems.

You'll have to do your own learning; I'm just getting comfortable with it myself. I believe the documentation is included in the download. Look for the 'Solutions Accelerator' document.
