I wish to know if Accton en1408t Gigabit NIC can be installed and activated at 1000 mbps on Novell netware 4.10 server. Specs of the card shows that drivers are available for Novell 3.11/3.12 and Novell 4.11 (Ufcourse drivers are there for other OS also, but I am talking abour Novell only as being my concern). I am using SMC 10/100 stackable manageable switch 6824M with Gigabit copper port 6824GT. Earlier I was trying to install SMC 9452TX, however, it supports novell 4.20 and may be above versions of netware. My main concvern is inbstalling Gigabit NIC on existing Novell netware 4.10 server and activating it with Gigabit switch port. As our application runs fine with 4.10 we do not intend to invest anything on upgrading OS. This is also because we intend to change overall infrastructure and will implement ERP when we may require to switch on existing OS too. In view of this please do not advise on changing OS version to any upgradation. In short I will appreciate responce saying (If possible with explanation) whether said card (Accton en1408t) ar any alternate card that can installed on existing licenced novell netware 4.10 and activated with 1000 bast T switch port (Full duplex is prefrable, however, half duplex will also do)
